Ah, to be on Day 10 of a cleanse! I am triumphant feeling, racing with light energy and renewed strength in every cell. There’s a true sense of accomplishment, especially when I reflect on the radical bowel movements of days past. ☺

Greetings! I’m on Day 3 of a 40-day iZO Cleanze. I know, I know- if you’ve been following this blog at all, you must be saying to yourself, “What the hell happened to the 21-day cleanse you were doing last month?!?!” Good question! And I’ve got good answers!

It's Lent and it's time to repent, at least as far as Catholics are concerned! I’m with them this time, embarking upon what I have attempted to pull off several times before with cleanses: the whole kit and kaboodle of enlightenment. Well, maybe not the WHOLE kit and kaboodle. But a full understanding of as much as I am aware of not knowing.

So, I bet you you’re wondering what the hell happened to me since the last time I blogged, especially after all that bravado about writing every day, etc. Well, I’m wondering the same thing. Let me tell you, the cosmic 2x4 took me by storm twice in the last two weeks.

At long last, I am able to say with confidence: go check out www.izocleanze.com I say ‘with confidence’, because this is the first time in over 2 years that the website has looked like what I envisioned it being in my mind. It has been one of the most trying and frustrating journeys bringing this thing to fruition.

Today is a very powerful new moon solar eclipse. I'm super psyched cuz it's pretty awesome for Taurus':
according to Susan Miller at www.astrologyzone.com:
The next eclipse, a solar eclipse on January 15 in Capricorn, will open your horizons and may have you traveling quite far to foreign countries. This is a lovely moment, meant to open your perspective and see life on a much broader scale.

Day 4 of the iZO Cleanze complete. As you can see in the video, the day didn’t exactly start out pretty.
And crazily enough that means ‘good news!’ It means the cleanse is working. Oy. What a strange thing it is to be happy about feeling like shit. Damn, I was soooooo heavy this morning. I really kicked up the internal dirt last night with what I’ve referred to as the ‘Transformation Hat Trick’.

whew. I'm finally back on the cleanze, and that is good news, because as you can see in this video, i REALLY need it.
I've been way too stressed this past year and you can see it in my face. Also, i've been eating crap lately, especially over the holidays in NYC. But i am soooo ready to come back to life. stay tuned...

So I broke the cleanze last night on Day 2. It happens. Sometimes, it’s just not the right time. And one needs to honor that with honesty and acceptance. There is no such thing as a false start. In my own personal cleanze world (and everybody’s is different because every Body is different), I allow for one, maybe two, solid food transgressions within the first couple of days on a cleanse, but they have to at least be on the healthy side, like fruit, salad or my favorite cleanze cheat food: Hummus.

There's just no need to permanently terminate people in our lives, unless there's real serious reason of threat, and even then, forgiveness must come some day, lest you remain angry forever. If you find a situation going ‘south’ with someone, communicate your concerns at the earliest possible moment and try to rectify the issues as directly and quickly as possible.

I did it! For 100 days, I lived on nothing but the iZO Cleanze, a customized daily regimen of a gallon of green juice, a half-gallon of lemonade, a half-gallon of Chinese herbal teas (one for the liver and blood, one for the kidneys, and one for the crown chakra), and 2-3 pints of hemp milk, all of it souped up with powerful iZO superfoods.

On Day 59 of my 100 day cleanze, I experienced the incredibly inspiring and brilliant words of my favorite preacher on the planet: Dr. Michael Beckwith of Agape International I say ‘experienced’ because to watch and listen to Dr. Beckwith is to be riveted with pure, unadulterated life force and Love, straight from the Source of the Universe. His energy is always mind-blowing.

Last night I had my fourth healing session with the mesmerizing Karin Inana Solo in Santa Monica. Like Charisse Landise (see Detox Alchemy blog entry), Karin works on the astral plane in healing the chakra system. But it’s somewhat different in effect.

This week was a very action-packed week for iZO. In addition to running our normal juice feast production and distribution operations, iZO was rocking the Oscar week celebrity events with live juice bars. Our celeb gift suite of choice this year was the Haven House on a posh estate on the top of Loma Vista in Beverly Hills. It was by far the most luxurious setting of any Oscar gift suite I’ve ever been involved with.

Two nights ago on Day 44 of my iZO Cleanze, I had another enlightening chakra healing session with the amazing Charisse Landise. A chakra reading with Charisse is nothing less than other-worldly. In a typical session, she’ll turn the lights down and ease you into a theta state where she peacefully accesses your astral body. She is incredibly clairvoyant, able to tell you things about yourself that your conscious mind may not even have an idea about.

On Day 20 of this 100 day iZO Cleanze, I got my second live blood analysis with expert microscopist, Michael Hontele’ and the results were astounding! If you recall, on January 1, the day before I started this journey, my blood was looking pretty abysmal.

I'm on Day 42 of the iZO Cleanze and have never felt better. but i thought it would be interesting to report some of the gorier, not-so-pleasant detox action. On Day 40, i got one of those really painful zits that seem to never come to a head on a my nose. You know the kind where the tip of your nose gets all red and it starts to rise a little but it's as if the zit is too massive to surface, lest your entire nose blow up.

Today I had my first, and probably last, Bikram Yoga experience. Many of you may know of Bikram as the so-called ‘Hot Yoga’ where they turn up the heat in the practice room to 105 degrees with 40% humidity causing you to feverishly sweat all the toxins out while enabling increased flexibility.

It’s Day 38 of my cleanze and I am feeling more balanced and secure than I have in a long time. I am grounded, yet very high. Everything is becoming so clear, from my skin to my thoughts, to my intentions, to my dreams, both in my deep, peaceful sleep and in the three dimensional world. The improvements are daily. I’ve already gone deeper and more pure on this cleanze than any other cleanze I’ve done so far, even more than the 63 day one.

On Day 12 of my iZO Juice Feast, I experienced one of the most profound healing modalities I’ve ever come across: Acutonics, or sonic acupuncture as i like to call it. My good friend, Dr. Birch Storey, expertly wielded tuning forks on my acupoints, tuned to the vibration of the planets moving through space. I turned into a happy piece of jelly on her table. You must check her out if you’re in LA.

So I feel like I’ve entered the second stage of my 100-day iZO Juice Feast, The Reconstruction phase. I am on Day 31. The first 30-day stage was a concentrated detox level in which I released so much toxic crap. I’ve never done the iZO Cleanze as hardcore as I am now. This time I’m doing the sugar free juice feast, all green juices, no apple, beets, or carrots, and this time around we make the hemp milk which is now all raw.

As you may or may not know, colonic hydrotherapy is an EXCELLENT companion to cleansing and is almost mandatory. What is absolutely mandatory on a cleanse is that you excrete the toxins that build up inside you. That may be easier said than done, given that you’ve eliminated one or two (if you’re a coffee-drinker) of your major stimulants of peristalsis, i.e. bowel movement triggers.

On Day 6, I visited Rehmannia ‘Dean’ Thomas, esteemed Tao Herbalist and creator of the iZO Cleanze’s precious Chinese herbal teas, Kidney-cleanzing protein superfood, and fermented chlorella/miso heavy metal cleanzer supreme. Rehmannia is incredibly intuitive and skilled in the Taoist tradition of reading one’s tongue and pulse. From there he employs his herbalist skills he developed under the tutelage of Master Herbalist Ron Teeguarden, and he ascertains what kind of herbal tea formula would be perfect for the situation.

It feels so good to have gotten 2008 off my chest (See ‘The Downward Spiral of 2008 Parts I-IV). I feel like I am finally stepping into the Present Now. I’ve been too long feeling behind the 8-ball, always catching up, always feeling late. It feels good to write a blog that’s about the present moment. For example, it’s Day 26 and over the last 12 hours I had what are clearly massive releases of mucous, from my colon, and from my head.

This month I can say iZO has finally made it. We’re bigtime now. We’re in the tabloids. You can now read about iZO on the supermarket checkout line. We were in the January 12th edition of ‘Life & Style’ with Pete & Ashlee Simpson’s baby boy on the cover, in a nice little positive blurb underneath Jennifer Aniston labeling iZO as ‘Hollywood’s Latest Weight Loss Craze’.

The hypocrisy of my existence came crashing down on prime time TV. It was ‘The Moment of Truth’, metaphorically and quite literally. Yes, i was actually on Fox TV’s ‘The Moment of Truth’, that universally abhorred ‘reality’ show train wreck where contestants are hooked up to a lie detector and asked extremely scandalous questions that the producers of the show dig up by probing the contestant’s friends, family, and enemies. The questions are then framed in confusing ways that make the person on the stand look like a real asshole.

I was in a perpetual state of purge ‘n’ splurge since the breakup. That meant, liquid-only juice feasting interspersed with at least a bottle of wine per day and a few beers, mixed with excessive marijuana smoking and high-carb pig-outs.

The pasta was so satisfying and filling, you wouldn’t believe. The garlic bread was dripping with melted cheese. The wine was perfectly toxifying. The whole bottle. THAT’s how I broke my 100-day cleanze. I derailed on Day 68 in a magnificent burst of gluttony, the ‘worst’ possible way to exit a cleanze.

The day before i embarked on my 100 day iZO Juice Feast, I got one of the most amazing snapshots of my health taken, the ultimate pre-transformation 'Before' picture that doesn't lie. I'm talking live blood analysis. In just one short 90 minute session with my good friend and expert live blood analyst, Michael Hontele, we were able to see an amazing panarama of my red and white blood cells, with all their 'warts' and deficiencies, up close and personal.

So here i go again... Day 1 of the 100 day of the cleanze. Between now and April 10, i will ingest nothing but fresh organic juices, teas and superfood powders. All delivered to my doorstep every morning by the good worker elves at The iZO Cleanze.
Many of you who are familiar with my blog may be wondering, "Hey, i thought you did a 100 day cleanze last year?" well...not quite. I had very nobly set out on my 100 day journey on Nov 8, 2007 and was chugging along just fine...until Day 63. I had successfully made it through the holidays in NYC, almost ‘ruining’ Christmas in my mom’s eyes because I wasn’t able to eat with the family, sipping vegetable soups while my parents indulged at my favorite Italian restaurants in the city, my father affectionately muttering ‘You jerk, ya’ when I would proudly tell the puzzled waiter and maitre’d that I wasn’t eating for a few months.
